Phaeton Gray/Black ERX300 Hi

I'm a big fan of ERX300s, high or low, to begin with but these are my favorite pair (for now). This means obviously, that I hardly ever wear them. I'm not ready to have beer spilled on them just yet.

It's a very basic color scheme but I love it; I think it looks great. Using leather for the Star Chevron logo underneath the suede of the same color creates a nice effect. I've tried using both white and gray laces but I think that black looks the best.

Careful for the lobster.

Black & Cranberry Weapons Mid

These boys have been getting a lot of play lately. The two colors work perfectly together and can be worn with just about anything.

Match that with the comfort and badassness of Weapons and you're pretty much unstoppable.

Fastbreak!

You might think by all of this that I cannot live without having access to scores of pairs of my sneakers. Not true. I travel as light as humanly possible; this means with (gasp) only the pair of sneakers on my feet.

On my latest trip to NYC I decided on these great Fastbreaks. It was wise as they proved sufficient for all of the inevitable walking. The leather and canvas combo brilliantly offer support and flexibility respectively.

So comfortable.

Nike Run Avant +

As some of you know, I am all about 90's retro basketball shoes, and running sneakers (mostly retros as well). But I am not one of those heads that only goes for the old stuff, If there's something I like, new or old. I will get it. That's the Case with the new Nike Run Avant+. Since the release of the Nike Air Max 360 II, I really haven't seen any cool pair of new Nike Running. But this summer it changed. They released the new Air Max 2009 (which I still need to get a pair), the Lunarglide+, and the Run Avant+.

I work at a Sports Authority, in the footwear department. And I just pretty much try anything they get that I sort of like. There's some styles I wanna get one day, the next day, I totally despise them. But when we got the new Run Avants, I fell in love. It was just a weird look to them. It sort of reminded me of like mid 90s cross country Nike running sneakers, and also of like some of the newer stuff I like.

This babies are really lightweight, I mean, they're designed as a running shoe, they're supposed to be, but these ones really are lightweight. Even the more expensive version (the Lunarglide) has more weight to it. Made for stability, and neutral, you pretty much will feel awesome in these. I have only wore them like 4 times since I got them, only in days that I know i can't ride my bike to work, and the day I had to walk across town to the doctor. But these things literally are like walking on a cloud. They do match one of my favorite Nike track jackets which is orange. Weird color to wear, everyone that goes to my store, hates it. But I like it just cause it catches the attention of the eye. So, yea, If you're looking for a confortable shoe if you're gonna walk ALL DAY. Get these babies.

Black/Black/Runner Yellow ERX300 Hi

I wore these Saturday night for a bike ride from Waltham to Allston. It was cold and these were a pretty solid pair for the ride.

I ended up staying the night, waking the next morning to pouring rain. I sucked it up and rode the bike to North Station to take the commuter back to Waltham (thank god they let you bring bikes). By the time I made it to the station it was hailing.
When I got off the train in Waltham it was snowing.

Needless to say that these got some serious breaking in this past weekend. Pouring rain isn't the best thing for suede. We all have to make some sacrifices sometimes.

If you look closely, you'll be able to pick out the difference between the leather and suede. I really like the touches of yellow. My favorite thing about these though are the yellow soles. I've toyed with the idea of using yellow laces but I'm not so sure. We'll see.

Nike Women Claw Money Peacock Vandals Hi

Courtney picked these up two years ago. They're really cool and always get comments on the T and bus. I really like how the "claw" is incorporated into the design of the peacock feather.

I find the color scheme reminiscent of one of those Popple toys I had when I was a kid. Now that I mention it, they match the colors on the blog pretty well too!

She barely ever wears these and I think she wants to get rid of them. (sigh)

Nikes and all others.

I'm a shoe connoisseur. I easily have over 100 pairs of shoes ranging from galoshes to Minnetonkas, but that's not the topic of this particular blog. When it comes to my sneakers, I'm a Nike fan. I have some Adidas, Asics, Pumas, Converses, and a mixed bag of others, but my Nikes hold the top spot. There's nothing like a flash of neon on your feet, in my opinion.

I guess this could be my intro post of sorts. I'll be posting my kicks, one by one, but this is just a glimpse into my small collection. These posts will happen once I get a digital camera in my possession and I'll try to keep them as regular as possible.

Police Car All-Stars

Love these. I wore them a lot around the end of this summer and somehow managed to keep them pretty clean. They usually make for good conversation.

They're a limited distribution reissue of chucks that were made in the eighties. Also reissued at the same time were racecars and school buses (high-tops). I don't have those to show though.

Limited Edition John Varvatos Jack Purcell Slip-Ons

I've gotten a lot of use out of these which is why they look so beaten up. I got them back in January and wore them as to work nearly every shift until August.

Jack Purcells are great work shoes for people who work on their feet. They're comfortable and you don't have to take the time to tie them as you're running out the door at the last minute.

COMING SOON!

This is a sneaker blog. Yes I know that I spelled "sneakerlicious" incorrectly. Considering though that sneakerlicious is not a real word; I suppose I can spell it any way that I want.

Sneekerlicious.

As you will see, I'm pretty much a Converse guy. It'd be great to have some other contributors so that there will be a little bit more diversity. If you'd like to have author privaleges, feel free to ask me.

Hope you enjoy. Much more to come.
